Video Redefining Connectivity with Custom Video Platforms

We architect AI-powered features to degrade gracefully rather than fail hard. Noise suppression runs client-side using WebAssembly-based models (such as RNNoise or similar), so it operates independently of server load and adds negligible latency even on constrained connections. Transcription services are designed with buffering and retry logic, and for environments with intermittent connectivity, we offer an offline-first fallback that queues audio segments locally and syncs transcriptions once bandwidth is restored. Bitrate and frame rate are also dynamically adjusted per participant based on real-time network probing, so the call remains stable even as conditions fluctuate.

We build analytics pipelines with data minimization as a design constraint—collecting behavioral and engagement metrics at an aggregated or anonymized level by default, rather than tying events to individual identifiable profiles unless there is a specific, consented business need. Event data, such as join/leave times, feature usage, and engagement scores, is processed server-side with PII stripped at ingestion. For clients subject to GDPR, we configure data residency so that analytics infrastructure is hosted within the EU, implement retention policies that automatically purge raw event logs, and provide data processing agreement (DPA) documentation as part of our delivery package.

We design for scale from the architecture level up, not as an afterthought. This includes using WebRTC with SFU (Selective Forwarding Unit) media server topologies rather than mesh or MCU models, which allows us to efficiently distribute media streams to thousands of concurrent participants. For events up to 10,000 participants, we combine adaptive bitrate streaming, regional edge node distribution, and dynamic load balancing so that quality remains consistent regardless of participant geography or network conditions.

Standard transport encryption (TLS/DTLS) protects data between a user and the server, but the server itself can still access the media stream. True end-to-end encryption (E2EE) ensures media is encrypted at the sender’s device and can only be decrypted by the intended recipients, with no intermediary, including our infrastructure, able to read the content. We implement E2EE using the WebRTC Insertable Streams API combined with key management protocols that keep cryptographic keys exclusively within the participants’ session, which is particularly relevant for clients with HIPAA or legal confidentiality requirements.

We follow a phased migration approach where new infrastructure runs in parallel with the existing system. Features are migrated incrementally using feature flags, allowing you to route a subset of users, internal teams or beta groups, to the new environment before full cutover. This lets us validate performance, security, and UX at real scale without a big-bang switch. We also audit and preserve existing API contracts where possible, so third-party integrations with calendar apps, CRMs, or SSO providers remain unaffected throughout the process.
